Artwork Guidelines

1. What Are the Artwork Requirements for DTF Transfers?

For the best possible print results, your artwork should be high-resolution and prepared at the intended print size before uploading.

We recommend the following:

  • • Resolution: 300 DPI recommended
  • • Background: Transparent
  • • Size: Artwork should be submitted at the intended print dimensions
  • • Quality: Sharp, clean, high-resolution artwork
  • • Color: Review colors carefully before submitting
  • • Transparency: Remove any unwanted background areas before uploading

Avoid submitting screenshots, heavily compressed images, blurry graphics, or low-resolution files.

2. What Resolution Should My Artwork Be?

We recommend submitting artwork at 300 DPI at the intended print size whenever possible.

Low-resolution artwork may appear:

  • • Pixelated
  • • Blurry
  • • Soft around the edges
  • • Less detailed when printed

Increasing the DPI number of an already low-resolution image does not necessarily improve its actual image quality. Start with the highest-quality original artwork available.

3. Should My Artwork Have a Transparent Background?

Yes, if you do not want the background printed, it should be removed before uploading your artwork.

Any visible design element included in your submitted artwork may be reproduced during printing.

Always review your artwork against a transparent background before submitting your order.

4. Will Printed Colors Match My Screen Exactly?

Exact screen-to-print color matching cannot be guaranteed.

Computer and mobile displays typically represent colors using RGB, while physical printing uses inks and a different color reproduction process. Screen settings, brightness, color profiles, and the artwork itself can also affect how colors appear.

Minor differences in:

  • • Color
  • • Brightness
  • • Saturation
  • • Tone

may occur between the digital artwork and the finished DTF transfer.

5. Does TransferDash Fix Artwork Before Printing?

Unless otherwise specifically stated, TransferDash does not edit or proof customer artwork before production.

Please check your file carefully for:

  • • Spelling errors
  • • Incorrect dimensions
  • • Unwanted backgrounds
  • • Missing elements
  • • Low-resolution graphics
  • • Incorrect placement
  • • Cropping issues

Your submitted file should be considered your final production artwork.
